vERAM Features
vERAM aims to be a high-fidelity simulation of the real-world ERAM system. Technical limitations
of the VATSIM infrastructure limit the number of real-world ERAM features that can be implemented,
but many of the useful features have been included:
- Full-screen mode for enhanced realism.
- VSCS (Voice Switching and Control System) simulation.
- Conflict detection.
- Full radar coverage volume simulation.
- Toolbar with tear-off buttons.
- Reduced separation airspace.
- Video Maps with adjustable brightness and separate map groups.
- Top-down mode for VATSIM controllers also covering local and ground positions. (Allows aircraft on the ground to be visible.)
- Multiple display windows for covering large areas of airspace or for close-up view of terminal or airport surface areas.
